Janna Munk, M.A. Leadership
Janna possesses twenty years of law enforcement experience, which has given her the opportunity to assume challenging leadership roles under a wide variety of diverse circumstances. Her experiences have included holding assignments as a patrol officer and sergeant, helicopter pilot, gang crime investigator and supervising a large unit of civilians and officers through challenging economic times.
One of Janna's passions is teaching, and she is currently a certified police academy instructor for Emergency Vehicle Operations, Search and Seizure, Laws of Arrest, Law Enforcement Driving Simulators and Defensive Tactics.
Janna has actively pursued bridging the gap between the police department and the larger city government by becoming and staying involved in citywide Human Resource development. Janna participates as a mentor in the city's official mentoring program and has taught a Personal Leadership class for the last five years for the city's Supervisory Leadership Academy. Janna has also provided 360 degree coaching for city supervisors as requested.
Creating an environment where employees and their organization simultaneously thrive and grow is Janna's primary goal. She is passionate about the learning process and human development, using coaching, mentoring and training to provide people with the tools they need to fulfill their potential both organizationally and personally.
Additionally, Janna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Master of Arts degree in Leadership.
